Why extra care may be needed
Diabetes, high blood pressure, multiple pregnancy, growth concerns or complications in a previous pregnancy may affect the care plan. Being classified as high-risk does not mean a poor outcome is inevitable.
Your care plan
Appointments, investigations and scans are individualized. Your obstetrician may coordinate care with other specialists and discuss where and when delivery should take place.
Keeping the team informed
Bring all reports and medicine details, and report new symptoms promptly. Heavy bleeding, severe abdominal pain, severe headache or reduced fetal movement need urgent assessment rather than waiting for a routine appointment.
