Looking at progress
Previous measurements and health records help assess growth over time. A single weight or height measurement is less informative than the overall pattern.
Developmental concerns
Discuss movement, communication, hearing, learning or behavior when you are concerned. Children develop at different rates, but concerns should be assessed rather than dismissed.
Planning support
The clinician may recommend observation, additional assessment or referral. Bring specific examples and any school or childcare observations to help guide the conversation.
